My space suit

This is my space suit I made for a wearable art. It has the milky way, the planets, comets and a screen to show a person landing on the moon. It was hard to draw it but I did it and I think it looks good.

The Tiny Dragon

As I stretched out on the warm grass, I felt a tickle on my fingertips. I looked at my finger and there was a scary, scaly, mini dragon. I tried talking to it but all it said was roar with a little baby voice. It had green spots on it’s nose and fire was smoke out of its nostrils. Its wings were thin like a feather. It was smooth like cream on your skin. The dragon’s claws where tickling me. It was curling around me with it’s tail and it’s scaly skin was shining in the sun. The dragon looked like it was about to breath fire so I moved out of the way and there was fire coming out of his mouth. Quickly I took him to my room to see if he could do more things but he went to sleep. I was thinking to myself that this was a lazy dragon. When he woke up he started flying, “cool” I said then he went outside. He looked bigger when he was outside. “When you sleep you grow” I said “roar” the dragon said. He looked thirsty so I got him some water and some meat to eat and drink. When the dragon finished eating it was climbing up the tree then it started sleeping. 10 minutes later in a flash he fell down the tree but he fell on my leg. I heard him getting angry then he burnt the tree and it turned into dust in seconds.

Film Festival

Today room 7 went to the maniakalani film festival. When we where sitting down tamaki college introduced the film festival by making a movie telling us what is maniakalani is and what they do for us like paying for our Chromebooks. The movie I liked is mastercheff from tamaki collage. It is the semi finals and the teams where peppering there dish for the judges. The first team had pancakes with strawberry topping. The second team had cake and raw eggs. The third team had strawberry tart. The judges said that the people who made the tart wins and the person with cake and raw eggs lost and went home. The funny part for me was when when the guy went home he was so angry that he picked up the pizza box and through it to the wall and stomped out.

Pentominoes Maths John & Sylis

Yesterday we started a Maths activity called pentomimes. When it started it looked kind of easy,but when you actually do it, it is kind of hard. You need to make  all of the pieces fit together. You need to put it on the grid so you can start and try to make the shapes all fit on the grid. I thought it was hard because I could't put the pieces all fit on the grid without any gaps. This is what it looked like when we finished.
