Today at food tech we made our meat filling for our pie. The first thing we did was get ready to cook. Next we gathered our ingredients and started to mix it together. In my group was AJ. The mince pie filling looks very yum.
I am a Year8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Futsal And Tennis
Today for futsal we went down to the tennis court to play futsal and tennis. For futsal I was in the black team. My first game was against the red team. we were both very good and trying to get the ball. In the end it was a tie 2-2. We were all happy to hear that our next game was against the white team. We got some very good goals. The end result was another tie 2 - 2. After that we went to Neville to play tennis. He taught us some things like up and down. Thank you to Neville and Martin for coaching us.

High Ropes Experience
High Ropes Experience
As I arrived at camp I felt as happy as I could be because I observed the high ropes. I wanted to go on it instantly but I had to linger till the next day.
When it was our group's turn to go on the high ropes, we were all excited. We learnt how to do the Be-laying then we learnt how to be safe. When we got the hang of it we were ready to go.
Before I knew it, it was my turn. As I was climbing up the ladder, I got more nervous. As I gazed down I start to to feel scared. Now I had to walk across the beam.
When I started to walk I felt really nervous but I had the courage to do 15 push up. Before I knew it, I was back on the floor
Today I have written a recount about the high ropes at camp. It talks about my experience on the high ropes and how I felt. This is a snapshot of my favourite part of camp.

Auckland Water Conservation
I have made a DLO about Auckland having to conserve water. There was some bad weather which caused a dam to overflow and that water took everything that pollutes water. We were using our learning from Inquiry and when sally came in to help people understand it better. If you want to learn more click here.

Why We Shouldn't Throw Rubbish On The Floor Explanation
Why We Shouldn't throw rubbish on the floor
What do you think would happen if we drop rubbish on the floor? Did you know that you could be killing sea live by dropping your rubbish on the floor. It can also attract mice and rats. You could also be polluting the water.
If we drop rubbish it can end up in the water. This can pollute the water and stormwater drains. Fish will think that it is food and they will try to eat it.
Rats get attracted to food scraps and that is why we pick up rubbish. If we drop rubbish it can attract mice and rats. It is not good to have mice around because they can carry diseases that can harm humans.
If we drop rubbish it can kill animals that live in the water. Fish will try to eat the rubbish and they can die from that. Turtles in particular will think that plastic bags are jellyfish and they can choke and die.
This is what will happen if you drop rubbish on the floor. Do you think that the next generation will want to live in a dump.
This is my explanation on why I think that people shouldn't throw rubbish on the floor. I did this because our topic is Te Taiao O Tamaki.
