Auckland Water Conservation

I have made a DLO about Auckland having to conserve water. There was some bad weather which caused a dam to overflow and that water took everything that pollutes water. Why We Shouldn't throw rubbish on the floor

What do you think would happen if we drop rubbish on the floor? Did you know that you could be killing sea live by dropping your rubbish on the floor. It can also attract mice and rats. You could also be polluting the water.

If we drop rubbish it can end up in the water. This can pollute the water and stormwater drains. Fish will think that it is food and they will try to eat it.

Rats get attracted to food scraps and that is why we pick up rubbish. If we drop rubbish it can attract mice and rats. It is not good to have mice around because they can carry diseases that can harm humans.

If we drop rubbish it can kill animals that live in the water. Fish will try to eat the rubbish and they can die from that. Turtles in particular will think that plastic bags are jellyfish and they can choke and die.

This is what will happen if you drop rubbish on the floor. Do you think that the next  generation will want to live in a dump.

This is my explanation on why I think that people shouldn't throw rubbish on the floor. I did this because our topic is Te Taiao O Tamaki.

Omaru River DLO

Today I have completed a DLO. I was working with Tiava. We were learning about Mad Ave and groups that help stop pollution. We made this DLO to show some good effects and some bad effects.

Water Care With Sally

I have completed my water testing DLO with Jeremiah. It has information about the experiments we did. The school leaders will be going down to Johnson reserve to test the water to see if it is polluted.
